It's made throughout Italy. Way back in 1924, over three generations ago, the company Quaranta 's Confectionery Industry started its history in the town of Caravaggio in the province of Bergamo. The founder, Antonio Quaranta and his wife Alzira, dedicated themselves to the production of handmade nougat and some other traditional sweets typical of Bergamo and Cremona. Production was situated in the first floor of their house, in Vittorio Emanuele Street, located in the heart of Caravaggio's hystorical center. Quaranta's son, Enrico Quaranta, moved the operation into a new factory in the early 70's. This move was made with special care to preserve the old memories and special handcrafted care that have distinguished all of Quaranta's products (especially nougats) from the beginning. Today the business is still managed by Quaranta's family through the founder's nephews, Massimo and Fabio Quaranta, in an innovative 6,000 square meter factory, furnished with the most efficient production and quality check instruments.
