To prepare: soak 1/2 cup of wheat berries in 2 1/2 cups hot water for 1 hour, heat to boiling then reduce heat and let sit for 45 minutes until wheat is softened to the bite. For a fortifying breakfast or brunch offering, add the cooked wheat berries to cooked oatmeal and serve with dried or fresh fruit, maple syrup or brown sugar! Or simply top the whole wheat berries with fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and honey. Use Sunnyland Mills Whole Wheat Berries as you would farro, barley or rice: in soups, stews, hot side dishes or one-pot vegetarian or meat-based meals.
